Organizations

Organizational hierarchy in Revenium allows users to administer assets within their control and controls what data is available in reporting.

Access to the Organizations dashboard

  1. Click on 'Organizations' in the navigation menu (Figure 1).

  2. After clicking on the Organizations Link, the Organizations dashboard will be displayed (Figure 2).

  3. Organizations are structured in a tree like format, with sub-organizations nested within their parent organizations

Note: Only users with the role of "Tenant Admin" can see the organizations page.

Managing Organizations & Creating Hierarchies

  1. The data shown on all pages in the application depends on the current organization selected. This allows clients to create n-tiered hierarchy models under which different business units or teams can have completely separate product / API catalogs and analytics information. You can use the information in the "Create an Organization" section to create new organizations and structure them as needed.

  2. To change the current organization at any time, click on the settings icon in the top right of the navigation bar.

  3. After expanding this menu, the Organizations menu appears (Figure 10).

  4. Click on any of the available organizations in the list to select it and the data will be updated.

Revenium also supports a bulk upload process for Organizations and existing users and applications. Please contact the customer success team for more details on this process.

Create an Organization

  1. Click on the Organizations create button located in the upper right corner (Figure 5).

  2. After clicking on the Organizations create button, the Organizations form appears (Figure 6).

    • Parent organizations: Organizations can be nested under Parent organizations. If the new Organization is to be top-level Organization leave the 'Parent' field empty. Otherwise choose the Parent Organization.

    • Associated Domains: This field is used in combination with the audience visibility filter of Products for displaying non-public products only to users from specific companies. For example, if the client organization is Pfizer, you could add a list of valid domains to the Pfizer organization in Revenium such as pfizer.com, pfizer.co.uk, and pfizer.biz. This field is not required if you are not publishing customer-specific products.

Note that the correct format for associated domains to match is to enter the portion beginning after the protocol i.e. "http(s)://", and ending with the top-level domain. As an example, if you wanted to match users with emails of user@na.acmesoftware.co.uk, user2@acmesoftware.co.uk, and user3@acmesoftware.com, you would create these associated domains: na.acmesoftware.co.uk, acmesoftware.co.uk, and na.acmesoftware.com.

  • API Storefront URL: Enter the URL of your API storefront in this field. If you are using Revenium to send notifications to end users, this URL will be used in these notifications to allow users to easily navigate back to the portal for more information.

  • External Identifier: If synchronizing usage & revenue information from Revenium to other systems (typically an ERP system), enter the identifier used by that system here to allow for easy reconciliation of information between systems.

  • Logo Upload: upload the logo you would like to be used in end-user notifications such as quota notifications and invoices. The standard templates utilize a logo file that is 64x64 pixels in a PNG format.

  • Billing Address, Phone, e-mail, and remittance instructions: Enter the information you would like to appear on invoices from Revenium to end users to aid them in paying invoices that are not automatically collected via credit card.
